Werdegang / Ausbildung: 
Stefanie Loveday is an artist from Vancouver, Canada, currently living in Berlin, Germany. Her photographs examine locational space as it relates to experience and memory. In her most recent work, How to Dream on an Island, she re-imagines the city of Leticia, Colombia as an island in the sea of the jungle. She received a Masters of Fine Art in Photography from San Francisco Art Institute in 2011 and a Bachelor of Media Arts from Emily Carr University of Art and Design in 2005. She has exhibited internationally and was a recipient of the Leon and Thea Koerner Award in the Fine and Performing Arts and the Helen Pitt Award. In 2012, she was awarded an artist residency at Programa Red de Residencies Artísticas LOCAL, Universidad Nacional de Colombia in Bogotá and Leticia, and The Hammock Residency in Vancouver, Canada. She has taught photography at the San Francisco Art Institute, hosted workshops on the construction of memory at the National University of Colombia, Leticia and at Art Bank in Vancouver, Canada, and lectured at SFAI and the National University of Colombia, Bogotá.
